Homeland Security

Homeland Security professionals are dedicated to preserving and protecting the United States of America. The term "homeland security" applies to professionals working in government organizations, including: the U.S. National Guard, the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Those in the field of homeland security often have backgrounds in law enforcement, the military, or other government agencies. Much of the training for homeland security professionals is done with on-the-job training.
