Accounting / Payroll Administration
Accountants help the public file their taxes and make sure they are filed on time and accurately. Accountants may also work as financial planners or personal advisors. In addition to preparing taxes for clients, accountants advise the public on personal budgets, retirement plans, etc.
Payroll administrators generally work with large companies and are responsible for the payroll of employees. Payroll administrators keep track of hours that employees have worked and process them for payroll.
Accountants and payroll administrators generally hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or other finance-related field. Accountants may also become certified in order to help advance their careers and become Certified Public Accountant, or CPA.
